We will finally be able to get our hands on the long-awaited game itself, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 Heart of Chernobyl, and after the summer game Fest, specifically the Xbox showcase, we got to look at some more gameplay showcasing even more than before. It all just looks so good and even somewhat better than the past trailers. S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl will now be launching on November 20, 2024, moving from the previously planned date of September 5. So, what makes it special?
First, I have to talk about the animations, everything from the facial expressions and even dialogue to the hands and arms to weapon reloading, and apparently there will be an animation when opening your inventory; your character will actually open up a backpack. This insane-looking tornado was just a blaze in the middle where the bear detector was also going off, so it seems like artifact hunting will be even crazier than before the tornado anomaly. Real quick, that looked insane, even though the veils detector was showing that an artifact may be inside it, so I'm just very curious on how the heck does one get that artifact again.

Mod support will be coming on day one of the PC release, and that brings me to my second point: will modding be good for Stalker 2? Modding has been somewhat of a controversial topic within the stalker community for a bit. Some people think that modding will ruin stalker too, and in actuality, it won't even affect the game if you don't want it to. That's the greatest thing about mods: you don't have to install them.

Stalker 2 will not have co-op. There will be a multiplayer aspect to it, but it will be an PVP-oriented experience with different game modes. The game director himself mentioned that "it is impossible to add co-op mode without ruining the experience of overcoming the difficulties on your own," Grygorovych says. When it comes to surviving the zone, you will have to do it solo.
